Ann Lee-Jeffs Senior Director Worldwide at Johnson & Johnson Keynote address on Friday, October 28 “Sustainability, Collaboration: The Next Competitiveness" Ann Lee-Jeffs is the founder and CEO of the Sustainability Collaborative and SustaiNext. Currently, Ann is providing the visionary and inspirational leadership, for the Sustainability Collaborative, and its educational and seminar operation SustaiNext. Ann, working with the Collaborative chief strategist, is crafting the next generation sustainability content concept, which is referred to as Universal Sustainability. Ann is also involved in the Collaborative research, and at providing the leadership for the highly successful SustaiNext East Summit conducted at Drexel University March of 2011. Future plans are that similar summit programs are to be held at Arizona State University, November 2011, Washington, DC 2012 and Dublin, Ireland, 2013. Ann is also the founder of GreenPharma (GPh), where she led a team representing two dozen or more organizations to drive next generation sustainability thinking across the pharmaceutical sector that resulted in new ideas, and the establishment of best practices. Ann is also one of founding members of the Healthcare Plastics Recycle Council (HPRC) representing various stakeholders in the healthcare sector, to enable plastic recycle practices, in the healthcare industry. Ann was instrumental in developing the current HPRC strategy that addressed challenges and opportunities within HPRC. Ann currently works as a Senior Manager at Johnson & Johnson worldwide environment, where she provides leadership in integrating product stewardship and sustainability thinking into the 220 companies that are the JNJ corporation; and within that context, Ann leads several teams, councils and networks within J&J that supports comprehensive sustainability as part of the JNJ strategy which is designed to enhance JNJ competitiveness. Ann has made many presentations on the subject of sustainability at numerous national and international conferences, including the Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference, which was sponsored by the United States EPA and the American Chemistry Society. Prior to JNJ, Ann worked for Merck, Pfizer and Colgate Palmolive where she led teams and programs to enable sustainability compliance. At Pfizer and Colgate Palmolive, Ann was one of the first sustainability leaders to integrate environmental programs across the organization. Ann is a graduate of Manhattan College with both an undergraduate in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. Ann is most often referred to as a results oriented professional that is team focused, and she is the proud mother of two very talented children.
