Review Biomes
Station 1
Welcome to the Jungle!!
Explore http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/rainforest.htm
ACROSTIC! For each letter in the word Tropical Rainforest,
write a piece of information about this biome. Think about
the location, climate, vegetation, wildlife, parts of this
biome, etc. There are only 3 rules:
1. Work in pairs or 3s within your “group” at this
station. Your acrostics should NOT be identical,
but you may work to help each other when you
get stuck.
2. Make sure to include USEFUL information. For
example, if you use “Rainfall” for the letter R, be
sure to tell how much; if you name an animal,
include at least a word or two about what the
animal is (Is it a large bird? An amphibian?)
3. You MUST include the 4 layers of the rainforest
somewhere in this acrostic.
Station 2
The Dry, Dry Desert
1. Go to http://www.mbgnet.net/sets/desert/index.htm
2. Take turns reading “What is a Desert Like?” out loud
from the web page. Fill in the blanks in your worksheet
as you read.
3. Go to the types of deserts link on the left side of the
web page.
4. Pick a stick from the box on the table (try not to peek).
If you pick a red stick, you will work with hot deserts; if
you draw a blue stick, you will work with cold deserts.
5. Choose one desert from the charts on the “hot deserts”
or “cold deserts” links on this page, depending on your
stick color.
6. Draw a picture, labeling the things found in your desert
OR create a graphic organizer expressing these same
topics.

word quilt. Unroll your quilt and use the website to
answer the questions or sill in the information
requested. You can write or draw – YOUR CHOICE! (If

BE CREATIVE – and NEAT!
