FINISH APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Wiped Stains 1. Apply wipe stain with spray gun set at 40- 60 PSI to wet out the entire part. 2. Wipe in circular motion to work stain into pores of wood with an absorbent cloth. Continue to wipe clean following direction of grain. 3. Shade with same wipe stain as needed to achieve desired look to match color panel. Shading will vary from part to part 4. Dry for 3 hours or longer at ambient air temperature of 70 degrees. 5. Apply clear coat process Notes: *Wipe stains may be reduced with Mineral Spirits or Lacquer Solvents to reduce strength if needed. *When using wipe stains, slow agitation of materials is needed. Sand first prime coat with 220 or 320 grit paper. Remove sanding dust and apply 3 – 4 wet mils of primer for 2nd coat. Dry for 1 hour or longer at ambient air temperature of 70 degrees. Light sand with 320 grit paper. Remove sanding dust and apply post catalyzed enamel top coat at 3 mils with spray gun using 40 PSI. Dry for 12 hours or longer at ambient air temperature of 70 degrees before packaging. Apply 3 – 4 wet mils of post catalyzed primer using spray gun with 40 PSI 2. Dry for 1 hour or longer at ambient air temperature of 70 degrees. 3. Sand first prime coat with 220 or 320 grit paper. 4. Remove sanding dust and apply 3 – 4 wet mils of primer for 2nd coat. 5. Dry for 1 hour or longer at ambient air temperature of 70 degrees. 6. Light sand with 320 grit paper. 7. Remove sanding dust and apply post catalyzed enamel top coat at 3 mils with spray gun using 40 PSI. 8. Dry for 12 hours or longer at ambient air temperature of 70 degrees. 9. Light sand with Ultra Fine Scotch Brite pad 10. Apply glaze with spray gun at 40 PSI. 11. Wipe glaze with absorbent cloth removing proper amounts to achieve desired look. 12. Dry for 4 hours at 70 degrees ambient air temperature. 13. Apply clear sealer coat and let dry per recommended schedule 14. Light sand with Ultra Fine Scotch Brite pad 15. Remove sanding dust and apply clear top coat per recommended schedule Notes: *Primer catalyst ratio = 9oz catalyst – 1 gallon Primer *Enamel catalyst ratio = 16oz catalyst – 1 gallon enamel *Agitate all materials at all times under slow agitation *Pot life of primer and enamel top coat = 4 hours Stained and Glazed 1. (Note some colors require 2nd seal coat with sand to prevent cross grain scratch showing) 8. Apply clear wash coat and let dry as recommended. 9. Light sand with 320 grit paper 10.
