Disabled Persons) to the new legislation
The Company Sygnity S.A. has concluded an agreement with PFRON on modification of

modifications of the already functioning system are necessary due to the new legislation
adjusting the Polish law to the European Union regulations. The agreement concluded

and employment of disabled persons. The modifications of the system will also include
changes resulting from Regulation of 9 January 2009 on supplementary financing of
remuneration of disabled employees and on reimbursement of social insurance
contributions of disabled persons. The agreement amounts to PLN 7.2 million net.
First, electronic placing applications for supplementary financing of remunerations of
disabled employees running business activities is to be made available from the beginning of
February 2009. Next, there will be activated the functionalities for farmers who will be
applying for reimbursement of social insurance contributions. The works on introduction and
verification of the applications are to be completed by 30 March 2009. The remaining
functionalities of the system, including additional servicing of the beneficiaries, will be
implemented by 30 June 2009.
The SODiR system in its hitherto form serves social aid beneficiaries, who submit in an
electronic or paper form applications for obtaining supplementary financing of remuneration
for disabled employees and applications for reimbursement of obligatory social insurance
contributions of disabled persons, disabled persons who run business activities, disabled
farmers or their disabled household members, for whom the farmer is obliged to pay
insurance contributions. The system, having verified the applications, allocates on the
Beneficiary’s account the aid that has been granted. At present there are nearly 50 thousand
beneficiaries registered in the system: employers, persons running business activities and
farmers.
