Enhancing the Student Experience for Disabled Students
TRAINING SESSION OUTLINE
Duration
3 hours
Who should attend?
This short workshop is aimed at non academic front line staff who are likely to come into
contact with disabled students within their current role.
Event aim:
The workshop will introduce you to practical ways of engaging successfully with disabled
students and adhere to good practice guidelines. If you feel unsure of how to respond to
some one who is blind, D/deaf, autistic or using a wheelchair, then this workshop will
provide you with a variety of practical advice on how to assist and make you feel “disability
confident”.
This session will aim to answer your questions on previous experiences and give advice
on particular scenarios.
