Enhancing the Student Experience for Disabled Students TRAINING SESSION OUTLINE Duration 3 hours Who should attend? This short workshop is aimed at non academic front line staff who are likely to come into contact with disabled students within their current role. Event aim: The workshop will introduce you to practical ways of engaging successfully with disabled students and adhere to good practice guidelines. If you feel unsure of how to respond to some one who is blind, D/deaf, autistic or using a wheelchair, then this workshop will provide you with a variety of practical advice on how to assist and make you feel “disability confident”. This session will aim to answer your questions on previous experiences and give advice on particular scenarios. Facilitators: This session is organised and facilitated by Student Welfare Services.
