2. Weather Forecast
Collect data for the weather in
Georgia over the last 5 days.
Using your data, prepare a 3minute weather forecast along with your predictions for the next 2 days. You should include a weather graph showing all 7 days.
3. Venn Diagram
Choose two climate zones.
List the characteristics of each climate zone and create a venn -diagram comparing and contrasting the two.
Attach a map indicating both climate zones by coloring them in.
4. Graph & Paragraph
Find out the weather forecast in Atlanta for any full week
2006. Compare that to the weather patterns for the same dates in 2005. Show findings on a graph and write a paragraph summarizing your findings.
7. Make a Weather Map
Using the blank map provided, make a weather map . Map must include:
- temperature key
- temperature readings for each state (colored in based on your temperature key).
- a warm front
- a cold front
- a high pressure area
- a low pressure area
5. Research Report
Choose a weather system to research from the list below.

Write a report which includes the following :
-define the system and tell how it forms
- tell the type of weather you’d expect before, during and after the system
-tell where and when the worst one occurred
- list some safety measures people can take to protect themselves
-draw (or cut out pictures) to show an area before and after the system.
8. Picture Book
Make a picture book about the three types of clouds listed in your textbook. For each page, include a picture or drawing of the cloud, a paragraph detailing its characteristics, and the weather conditions associated with the cloud type. Book must include a cover page.
6. Weather Map Challenge
Use a newspaper to complete the weather map challenge worksheet provided by your teacher.
9. Brochure
Choose a city in the U.S. that you would like to visit. Make a brochure for that city that includes the following:
- A paragraph stating why you want to visit that city
- 3 activities you can do in that city.
-Average yearly rainfall
-Average highs and lows
-One interesting geographical feature
