Place asbestos debris, used rags, plastic sheeting and other asbestos

Disposal
Wet wipe clean non-disposable PPE (i.e. Goggles, helmets and boots).
Dispose of wet-wipes into an “Asbestos” labelled plastic bag
Before removing the bags from the work area, wipe external surfaces with
damp rags to remove any dust and put the used rags in bags
Seal all disposal bags with duct tape, place into a second disposal bag and
seal again
Label all bags with an appropriate warning unless otherwise marked
Asbestos waste can be disposed at local council waste facilities if licensed.
(Contact your local Council for information on approved dumpsites in your
area).
As this is classed the same as all Hydro Tasmania (HT) waste it will need to
be recorded for sustainability purposes. HSEF0914.3 – Waste Disposal /
