I worked for Psychology4Law, a company that provides expert witness reports, since
2009. Typical cases relate to care proceedings and contact disputes. Examples of
issues that I have been instructed to assess include cognitive functioning, capacity,
parenting ability, risk, sibling placements and mental health and I have made regular
courtroom appearances.
Clinical Experience: 2002 to Present
I have worked in six separate child and family mental health settings. These include
working with parents, young people and children with mild, moderate and severe
mental health difficulties, in NHS community and inpatient settings and also with
children and parents with learning disabilities. My clinical experience has included
assessment and treatment of mental health problems in children and young people
from age 0-19, and also working around parenting with adults. I have worked with
fostered and adopted children, foster carers and adoptive parents, and with parents
who have had children removed. Whilst I consider myself a specialist in child and
family mental health, I have also worked in a range of other clinical and research
settings, with adults, older adults and adults with learning disabilities.
