The follow-on Master's degree programme is intended for the graduates of Teaching at kinder
gardens (Bachelor) and Special pedagogy of pre-primary children (Bachelor).
The study specialisation is drafted for pre-primary teachers qualified preparation with
emphasis on pre-school curriculum development with respect to the specific conditions of the
pre-primary institution taking into consideration the specialities and needs of pre-primary
children in the pedagogico-psychological context and with emphasis on pedagogical
diagnostics and special-pedagogical with applying the inclusive education principles and preprimary institution management in accord with the current trends in the pre-education field.
Graduate profile
The graduate is trained to:
-
do the profession of a teacher at ordinary kinder gardens and in kinder gardens for
children with special education needs. All this with emphasis on the process of
managing and methodology in the concept of current pre-primary curriculum,
-
to draft school curriculum in accord with the conditions and need of an individual preprimary institution,
-
to cooperate on creating the conditions for development of own kinder garden
education path,
-
to work in accord with the current trends in education.
In accord with pre-primary curriculum, the graduate is ready:
-
to create, manage and implement the process of education activities and conditions
progress evaluation implemented within a pre-primary education institution,
-
to implement acquired knowledge as a part of a feedback not only considering himself
(self-reflection) but also considering the other kinder garden teachers,
-
to manage the pedagogical process implemented within the whole kinder garden on
purpose,
-
to process and evaluate the necessary data for kinder garden management and
development.
Graduate:
-
acquired expertise necessary for providing the advisory service for parents,
-
is able to mediate the current enlightenment activities in the area of pre-primary
education.
In cooperation with specialists, the graduate is able:
-
to eruditely mediate the special services for both children and parents,
-
on the basis of his expertise to create the corresponding conditions for education and
development of children with special educational needs. All this in accord with the
requirements of special and integrated pre-primary children education.
The graduate disposes of knowledge and skills necessary for:
-
managing, guiding and support of professional growth and school working team
professionalization.
The jobs and institutions characteristics where the graduate may use acquired
education:
-
an ordinary kinder garden, children clubs,
-
a kinder garden for children with special educational needs.
The graduate will get the Master's degree (Mgr.)
Targets of the programme:
To create the competences which will be of a top quality and necessary for the pedagogical
job and for managing in the conditions of an ordinary kinder garden and a kinder garden for
children with special educational needs.
To create such conditions for the graduates of the Pre-primary Education programme so that
they may continue in the PhD's programme.
To react on the scientifical needs and gradually create the platform for research in the area of
pre-primary pedagogy as a field of study.
Programme conception
The study programme is ready for a distant form of study in English language.
The study programme continuously follows the graduate's profile of Pre-primary Education
and Pre-primary age Special Pedagogy (Bc.) The programme conception offers a permeable
programme suitable for both groups of graduates.
The whole concept of the follow-on programme is a follow-up of the target competences of
the Pre-primary Pedagogy graduate. They reflect the current trends and requirements of the
pre-primary education.

There are more educational forms involved at the subjects of full-time study: a lecture, a
tutorial, a seminar, a teaching practice and an excursion. A specialized teaching practice
involves a necessary extent and corresponds to the requirements of individual modules in
terms of their content.
The programme is finished by diploma thesis defence and a successfully passed leaving exam:

Pre-primary pedagogy with didactics,
-
Special pedagogy,
-
Kinder garden management.
Organisational and administrative programme security
In terms of the Pre-primary pedagogy programme, a part of the programme realized in the full-time
and in the distance study. The study support in English language is created for the students of the
distance study. There are guarantors and teachers or individual disciplines in charge of self-education
management at the subjects of the distance study and for communication with students. The distance
study of each subject will be started by an opening tutorial at which the students will be introduced
to the methodology of self-education for the distance study. The part will also be the timetable and
practical implementation. Furthermore, the students will be introduced to the way of communication
with the educational institution, the conditions of both current and final evaluation. The tutorials will
be held as a forum where a tutor (a teacher) will discuss and solve various problems which follow
from self-education and also place interactive exercises, etc.
The final tutorials will serve as a tool to self-education evaluation of individual students for the whole
period. A tutor (a teacher) makes assessment how a student fulfilled individual tasks, the student's
portfolio. In case that a subject is finished by an exam, the results of an exam are also included.
