Recommendations for approval by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences
The Committee recommends adoption of the following proposals. The text of each
proposal is given in bold face print.
The full text of syllabi, program descriptions, Undergraduate Record and Graduate
Record entries, as well as other documentation for these recommendations, are available
prior to the FAS meeting in the office of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences,
419 Cabell Hall. Changes approved by the FAS will appear and become effective in the
Fall 2010-2011 Undergraduate and/or Graduate Records, unless otherwise noted.

POLICY CHANGES
Beginning with the spring 2010, semester the College, along with the other
undergraduate schools, will have the same drop/add deadline. This deadline will be
the tenth day of instruction (or two full weeks from the first day of classes). The
withdrawal deadline, eight weeks from the first day of instruction, will remain the
same. The add/drop deadline will also be the deadline for electing the Audit or the
Credit/No Credit option.
Students in hybrid study abroad programs may henceforth take any combination of
direct credit and transfer courses, totaling at least 12 credits.
