Golden and Jennifer Dobbin -Martel: Stephanie Cloots -Sid: Jo Hsu -Wiess: Alfredo Gutierrez -Will Rice: Margeux Clemmons Goals for CAPP Stronger college presence -More activities and events based in colleges -Need CAPP members to be aware of issues within their colleges and plan events accordingly; communicate with masters and RAs -Have monthly meetings with CAPP members in your college -Be friends with the other CAPP members in your college!!!! -Let people know that CAPP exists and that you’re a member -Make signs to put in college with everyone’s pictures to hang in the commons -(Don’t put drunk pictures on them) -Door signs More committee interaction -Committee cohesiveness all year long rather than just before events -Keep on top of events so no need to rush -More brainstorming of ideas for committee events -More meetings than in previous years -Talk to Maura Leahy for event advice -CAPP cannot do anything with alcohol :o( General CAPP interaction -Join the CAPP facebook group! -Counseling center wants more community involvement, like public service events with Community Involvement Center -Co-coordinators planning to meet with CIC to get ideas for events so anyone with ideas for events please contact one of them -Sarah Baker wants peace on earth -Try to intermingle at the retreat on Saturday because there’s lots going on Stronger CAPP presence on campus -Shirts will be out first semester this year -Sarah claims the yellow color will be “flattering” -Also we have old shirts that Jim can give us Public meetings/office hours -CAPP needs to be available year-round and people should be able to come to us any time -Office hours in wellness center conference room for a few hours each week -It’s something new we’re trying to get set up -A couple CAPP members will be there for people who want to walk in and talk to someone from CAPP who is going to be there -One of the worries is that people aren’t convinced about privacy so taking it out of the college setting will help -Hours at colleges is a possibility especially because it’s a trek to get there from south colleges -College liaisons who want to set up something within their own college can do so Upcoming events/meetings Retreat this Saturday -It’s mandatory -8:15 am departure from Rice and return at 5 pm -It won’t be boring; if it is then we get to give Sarah a lot of crap -Jim’s words of wisdom on the site -“It’s at one place that sounds like another place” -“We promise none of you will get shot” -There will be food for breakfast and lunch -Fill out forms Next general meeting—Sunday 9/16 -Candy bags, door signs, posters Meetings will be held every third Sunday of month at 9 pm
