Volcano Poster! Indicate the volcano’s location on a map and give the latitude/longitude. What is the name of the lithospheric plate this volcano is on? What type of plate boundary is the volcano on - convergent, divergent, or transform - or is it a hot spot? Describe the type of volcano and include a diagram. Is this volcano active, dormant, or extinct? When was the last eruption? When is the next predicted eruption? What was the devastation from the last – or biggest - eruption (include how the eruption affected nearby cities and land, not just the death toll) How old is the volcano (when did it begin to form)? Describe how people have been affected by living near the volcano – this can include myths, legends, or art about the volcano, geothermal energy, hot springs, tourism, scientific research, products made from volcanic materials, volcanic soils and agriculture, and archaeological excavations from previous eruptions Include at least two additional interesting or historical facts about the volcano. Include a minimum of 3 pictures (not including your diagram). Include a bibliography of the resources you used. You need a minimum of 3 sources - these could be library books, your textbook, magazine or newspaper articles, or internet sites.
