ENTRIES LIMITED to the number of dogs that can be run during all available daylight hours
and entries will close if this limit is reached before advertised closing date.
The trial is being run as a flexible format trial and the club reserves the right to rearrange the
running order of the stakes and add/rearrange judges if conditions warrant.
This Field Trial is Run Under the Rules and Procedures of the American Kennel Club
BITCHES IN SEASON WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RUN.

The LaSalle Brittany Club welcomes you to our Spring Horseback
Trial to be held at The Des Plaines Fish & Wildlife Area, near
Wilmington, IL. Run under the rules of AKC on March 25 - 27,
2011. Please join us for Dinner/ Happy Hour Saturday Night!
NOTE: We will only run on TWO courses this spring instead of
our normal three courses. This means we will not have the capacity
we usually do so get entries in early.

DIRECTIONS TO HEADQUARTERS:
From the North:
On I-55 about 10 miles south of I-80 intersection, get off at Wilmington Exit (exit
241) Turn right and go about 2 miles on N. River Road. The parking lot is on the
right and is where the Site office and trial headquarters are located. On the West
Grounds, those with Horses are asked by the DNR to use the new gravel parking
area first, and to use the pasture area for staking-out their horses.
From the South:
Immediately after crossing the Kankakee River, exit at the Wilmington exit (exit
241). Turn right on N. River Road and proceed to the headquarters (about 2 mile).
Those with Horses are asked by the DNR to use the new gravel parking area first,
and are encouraged to use the pasture area for staking-out their horses
Camping is allowed on the grounds, but there are NO SERVICES and units must
be self-contained. An overnight fee is charged and payable to the IDNR. Pit
toilets are on the grounds.

above. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club
in effect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and
any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the
club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to
have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members,
directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of
services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved
judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly
to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we)
personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties

IDNR now requires that ALL IL RESIDENTS participating in AKC Field Trials in Illinois as
handlers, scouts and/or gunners MUST have a valid hunting license & habitat stamp. Non-residents
are exempt and covered by a waiver issued by IDNR for our event.

All stakes are a single course without a bird field.
Native and/or released Quail in all stakes except Puppy stakes.
Shotguns with blank shells will NOT be permitted.
A blank cartridge will be fired in the puppy stakes if bird contact is made.
Use of AKC approved tracking collars is permitted but not provided by the club
JUNIOR HANDLER STAKE
A non-regular stake open to persons under 16 years old. OPEN TO ALL AKC POINTING
BREEDS. Note on the Entry if the dog is Derby or Adult.
PRIZES
Standard A.K.C. rosettes to all placed dogs.
Trophies to first place in each regular stake.
OLGD prize money, to be $20 for each started entry, divided:
1st – 40%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd – 20%, 4th - 10%

The Open Limited Gun Dog stake will run on the on the East
Grounds. Directions to the East Grounds are as follows:
From I- 55, either direction, take the Wilmington exit (exit 241). At
the top of the ramp, turn Left on N. River Road and proceed (about 2
miles) towards Wilmington and turn Left on Boat House Road. The
parking lot, building & barn will be on your Left, across from the
Bird Rearing Pens on your Right.
Junior Handler Stake Open to persons under 16 years old. This is
the only stake at this trial open to ALL AKC pointing breeds -we
want to promote this sport to the next generation. Please pass the
word along to friends in other breeds. There is no charge for this
stake and non regular stake ribbons will be awarded. Additionally,
Purina has generously donated some prizes for the kids. Official
entry forms must be submitted to the trial secretary prior to the
closing date just as with any other stake. Dogs may be Derby or
Adults and should be noted as such on the entry form.
All Horse Owners
If you use a stall(s) in the barn, you are required to clean it
prior to your departure. Everyone with horses is required to
clean-up after them and place manure on the designated
concrete pads located in each of the parking lots.

Those on gravel areas, need to place manure on the concrete
pads and scatter hay/straw refuse in the grass adjacent to them.

On the West Side, those with horses are to park in the
GRAVEL area to the North of the paved lot, or on the grass
area North of there. Horses can be staked out there and inside
the fenced pasture area.

ONLY AFTER THE GRAVEL AREA IS FULL can other
areas be used for parking horse trailers.`

ANYONE with horses on the paved parking area must remove
ALL hay, straw and manure from the pavement, prior to
departure each day as required by the DNR and our agreement
with them.
