Weather Advisory - February 9, 2016 (as of 1:20 p.m.)
Coweta County School System expects no change to today’s school operations
(Tuesday, February 9)
The Coweta County School System is continuing to monitor weather conditions throughout
the day. While snow flurries are possible during the school day, no changes to normal
school operations are anticipated at this time.
The system anticipates a normal school day and dismissal, and normal after-school
activities.
Parents are encouraged to stay abreast of weather conditions, and to continue to monitor
the school system’s website at www.cowetaschools.net for updates.
While normal school operations are anticipated tomorrow (Wednesday, February10),
temperatures and wind chills are expected to be extremely low through Thursday,
February 11, particularly during early morning hours.
Parents should make sure that their children dress warmly for being outside. Parents of
bus riders should also be aware that extremely cold morning temperatures can cause
delays on morning routes, and are urged to remain with students at bus stops as
necessary.
