Objectives: The aim of the course is to provide the basic linear algebra background needed by
mathematicians. Many concepts presented in the course will be presented in the familiar setting of the
plane and the real n-dimensional space, and will be developed with an awareness of how linear algebra
is applied.

Attendance Policy :
Attendance is an essential requirement of this course. Any student should attend more than %70
lecture hours: If you do attend less than %70 of the lecture hours, you will get an NA grade. (Do not
miss 17 hours!)
Make-up: Make-up exams will be given only if the proper medical documentation for the absence is
received. Do not forget that the medical report must be submitted to student affairs in three days after
the last day of the report. Otherwise it will not be accepted.
REMARK: All the students should PROVIDE student ID cards to proctors to serve as identification
during the exam. Any student without an ID card CANNOT take the exam.
