User’s Manual User’s Manual 1. Overview This multimeter is internal magnetic structure. It has 15 ranges, capable of metering DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current, resistance and the capacity of dry battery under load. It is suitable for school, factory, home and amateur of radio enthusiast. 2. Specifications DC voltage: (DCV) 0~2.5~10~50~250~500V 5.0 grade 2000Ω /V AC voltage: (ACV) 0~10~50~500V 2000 Ω /V 5.0 grade DC current: (DCA) 0~0.5~10~250mA Voltage drop: 0.5 V Resistance: (Ω) 0~10kΩ ~1MΩ Center value: 3.6 Size : 132 mm x76 mm x42mm Buzzer: included 5.0 grade 5.0 grade (arc length) Weight: 220g 3. Operation way Note: Adjust the zero calibration device on the cap to “0” before measuring. If none of the ranges is working, that means the fuse in the meter might have been damaged. Open the cap to replace with a new fuse. Selected voltage/current range shall be higher than the voltage/current value which you measured. When using “OHM” range, do not measure resistance with the circuit powered on. Discharge the capacitor before measuring its leakage current. Measuring DC or AC voltage: Connect the meter across both ends of the measured voltage and read the second scale line. Measuring DC current: Connect the meter and the measured circuit in series and read the second scale line. Measuring resistance: Short-circuits the test bar and adjust the “OHM” zero potentiometer until the pointer is on “0” of the first “Ω” scale line. If the pointer cannot be adjusted to “0”, it means the internal battery is low. Replace the battery and connect the test bar across both ends of the resistor which to be measured. Read the value of pointer on the first “Ω” scale line and multiply by the factor of the range. Measuring dry battery: Connect the test bar across both electrode of the dry battery which to be measured. Load current at full scale is 125mA for 1.5V range and 10mA for 9V range. If the pointer is in the “GOOD” arc range of the third scale line, it means the battery level is high. “BAD” arc means the battery level is low and the arc between “GOOD” and “BAD” means the battery level is about to be low: Measuring dB: Put the Range Switch to “AC10V” and read the fourth “dB” scale line. If the measured circuit has DC component, the test bar should be connected with a DC isolating capacitor above 0.1UF/500V in series. When using other “ACV” ranges to measure dB value, convert the value according to the following table. 4.
