Undergraduate Programmatic Coordinator A. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position provides overall administrative support for the Student Bridges agency in accord with directives from the Board. Specifically, the position works closely with the Graduate Coordinator and/or Faculty Advisor to manage the overall Student Bridges budget, supervise and mentor site coordinators and interns, chair staff and advisory board meetings, coordinate Student Bridges events and projects, and support the program’s overall evaluation and sustainability. This position provides an opportunity to refine skills in the areas of: programmatic administration and management; group dynamics and team mentoring; effective cross-cultural communication and collaboration; public relations; policy advocacy; public administration; and social justice organizing. 10–15 hours/week during the school year with additional hours to be approved by Core Staff B. REQUIRED DUTIES: 1. Chairs the Student Bridges Advisory Board, maintains all agency records, takes minutes at SBAB meetings, and submits the meeting minutes & agendas to the Undergraduate Student Senate, Faculty Advisor, and Secretary of Administrative Affairs. 2. Works in collaboration with the Faculty Advisor, Graduate Student Coordinator, Development and Evaluation Assistant, the SBAB and other campus offices and departments to seek out and develop new funding sources for the agency. 3. Facilitates and prepares an agenda for weekly staff meetings. 4. Maintains a master Student Bridges calendar. 5. Trains, supervises and mentors Tutor/Mentor Coordinators and volunteers that are not placed at a specific partner site. 6. Acts as the primary liaison to the Student Government Association; produces any SGA-related memos, motions and/or funding requests; and provides regular updates to the SGA Senate and leadership. Serves as a liaison with RSOs, when applicable. 7. Liaisons with state-wide organizers such as MSU and PHENOM on policy advocacy such as access and affordability issues and reports back to Agency staff with updates. 8. Attends Student Bridges course sessions, workshops, forums, trainings, and events. 9. Acts as the liaison to and is responsible for maintaining partnerships with Student Bridges community partners, UMass campus departments, the UMass Administration and student groups; and attends meetings that are applicable to maintaining/developing such partnerships. 10. Works closely with the D&E Assistant and COCA team to develop and maintains an evaluation system for Student Bridges’ activities. 11. Coordinates the annual year-end evaluation, in collaboration with Agency staff and the SBAB. 12. Holds at least two blocks of routine weekly office hours. 13. Acts as a driver, so long as the position meets the minimum requirements detailed in the Student Bridges Driver job description and signs the agreement to the “Vehicle Safety Policy, Terms, Conditions, Rules and Regulations”.
