Milk and Cookies Track Notes Angels Sing The Blues A lot of people in this world don’t realize how good things are until they mess things up. “Angels Sing the Blues came as the result of that kind of situation in my life,” says Jett. “One can make some foolish decisions that can really hurt the ones that you love. You often realize only too late that you’ve just lost the best thing in your life. Those who can learn from those mistakes and reconcile to make the love a stronger bond are truly fortunate.” Boogie To The Blues Boogie to the Blues came about through the advice of others during the period of time when we decided to start writing our own original material to express the individuality of the band. There were those who wanted to tell us how we should do things if we wanted to make it in the music business. A lot of good advice was given but there were times when negativity was associated with it. “Some told us that we weren’t old enough to make it. Some told us that we were too old to make it. Some said our music wasn’t bluesy enough. And some even told me I wasn’t black enough to make it, but no one ever said the music wasn’t good enough,” says Jett. “We knew right away that we had to shield ourselves from the negative thoughts. You have be true to what you believe in and let that show in your music. Hold your head up and it’ll be all right. Boogie to the Blues and let’s party tonight.” My Baby’s Place “Sometimes I feel like I’m the luckiest man on the earth to be blessed with my woman,” says Jett. It’s a happy feeling to know through good times and bad that your spouse is always there for you. Whether out on the road for days at a time or just gone for a couple hours at a local gig, can’t wait to get back home. Can’t wait to get back to My Baby’s Place. OooWeeeeee” It’s A Cinch “All my life I’ve been experiencing one personal struggle after another. I’m not unique, it’s that way for everyone,” says Jett. But everyone has a purpose in life. And life is hardest when you are aimless and not doing something that you can be passionate about. Alvin explains that once he realized that music was his purpose all the trials and tribulations became more bearable. “In that moment of self-reflection and prayer I knew that It’s A Cinch, says Jett, I knew that I could not lose.” Down In The Delta Down In The Delta was written to commemorate the Phat noiZ journey to Helena, Arkansas to perform at the Arkansas Blues & Heritage Festival. We actually stayed at the Uptown Motor Inn in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The Uptown had a restaurant that was so small that we overwhelmed the cook when all four band members showed up for breakfast. We also seen posters in Clarksdale advertising an upcoming Arthur Williams show and thought it only natural to invite him to record the song with us. www.phatnoiz.com Booking Frank Bauer Phat noiZ Entertainment LLC 314.330.6546 Phatnoizband@aol.com Publicity Betsie Brown Crows Feet Productions LLC 901.278.6850 Betsie@crowsfeet.biz Please contact Betsie for additional information images and interview opportunities.
