Hadarom region, Beer Sheva district, 34.51 longitude, 31.45 latitude. The outbreak occurred in a milk herd. The affected animals were milking cows. Typical clinical signs as lumpy skin and fever have been observed in the affected animals. Drop of milk in the affected cows have been observed a few days before the skin symptoms appeared. The herd was vaccinated with sheep pox vaccine on January 2007. Susceptible – 485. Cases – 41. Deaths – 0. Destroyed – 41. Diagnosis was made by immunohistochemical test and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) (Kimron Veterinary Institute). Newcastle disease KALLANIT, HaTsafon region, Kineret district, 35.45 longitude, 32.88 latitude. The outbreak occurred in two different flocks in broilers. In this settlement, two flocks of broilers were affected in January 2007. Susceptible – 83,840. Cases – 4,000. Deaths – 3,000. Destroyed – 80,840. The diagnosis was made by clinical symptoms, Post Mortem, PCR, virus isolation and serology tests. Immediate culling and burying was applied.
