NOTICES
ENORMOUS THANKS for all the love
and support you have shown me over the
last few weeks (and years!). Thank you to
everyone who made my Service of
Institution and Induction such a wonderful
occasion, as usual the refreshments were
top notch! And as for the surprise gifts on
Sunday – well, I don’t know how to thank
you enough. With love. Sue
ANOTHER THANK YOU to everyone
who contributed food, helped with settingup and clearing away or helped in any
other way on 3 September at Sue's
Induction. It was a tremendous effort by
so many, and a wonderful celebration.
Briony, Mike and Sarah
PARISH WEEKEND It's all getting very
exciting!! All participants will receive an email with the latest details in the next day
or two. Services will be taking place here
as usual next weekend. We welcome
Angie Lauener from Ranmoor and Karen
Colley from the Manor Team who will be
leading the 10am Service at St Mark’s.
HOME PRODUCE A reminder that if
you’re making jams or chutney over the
summer, please could you do extra jars
for the Harvest Produce stall? Donations
of empty jars for others to use would also
be welcome. Thanks, Alison.
VICARAGE FRUIT if anyone would like
to pick the apples (if ripe enough) and
plums in the Vicarage garden these could
be turned into jams and chutneys for the
Harvest Produce stall. Lunch Club would
also like some so perhaps you could let
Mary-Jane know if you’re planning to
gather any. Thanks, Sue.
MEMORIES Gary Grief is very keen to
talk to anyone with memories of Sheffield
during WWII. If you'd be happy to chat,
he'd love to hear from you - 231 6031.

"RE-IMAGINING CHURCH No
Longer Male and Female" is the next
CRC conference on Saturday 24th
October. It is being put on in association
with WATCH (Women and the Church).
Now that we have women bishops some
may consider the journey to be over. It
is, however, just beginning. Three
women, Kathy Galloway, Emma Percy
and Jelly Morgans, invite us to engage in
conversation. Together we will dream
dreams and explore strategies for the
radical transformation of the church at
every level and across denominations so
that it more adequately reflects and
embodies a ‘genderful’ God. Please see
the booking forms on the CRC stall for
more info and to book your place.
CRC SEMINAR AND LIBRARY
EVENING will be happening on Wed
30 September in the lounge, entitled:
"Saved by a poem: the transformative
power of words", and will be led by John
Hillman. All welcome. Please see the
flyers at the back for more details.
TESS We greatly regret to announce the
death of Tess, Ian and Liz's beloved
golden retriever, and send our love and
best wishes to Ian and Liz at this time.
CHURCH ACTION ON POVERTY
PILGRIMAGE on Saturday 10 October
will visit inspiring church projects in the
South of the City. From 930 am to
around 3 pm, starting and finishing at St
James Norton. All welcome. Please
