PARENTS & PUPILS.
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Thank you so much for your enquiry.
Please
have a look at what we have to offer and the
timetable. If any class interests you we can
arrange a two week trial your child.
The
timetable is subject to change so it would be
best to e mail us with information such as venue,
age of child, subjects interested in, if any
experience etc This will help us better advise
you.
WHAT CLASSES DO WE OFFER?
PRE SCHOOL BALLET & TAP:
These classes
are fun and informal and consists of music,
movement and simple ballet & tap steps. At
this age the children learn best through
exploration and imagination and so the teacher
will encourage this. You can choose to do an
hour of ballet and tap or ½ hr ballet only or ½
tap only.
ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE & ISTD EXAMS :
For the older child we offer exam if desired
with the RAD & ISTD:
Primary through
Grades 1-8 and major work (Intemediate
Foundation, Intermediate & Advanced)ion to
advanced) for older students.
Pupils
passing through our school may be here for
fun, exercise or just the joy of dance. We
regularly send students on to train at
vocational dance schools to be professional
dancers or teachers. Many of our pupils have
been with us since 3yrs old and are still coming
as adults. At least one of our teachers has
trained with us since 4yrs old and after going
away to full time dance college has returned to
teach with us.
TAP:
Introduces rhythm and musicality in
dance to the child. Discovering noisy feet can
become a musical instrument and make music,
is an exciting introduction to music. Tap is
often combined at higher levels with Modern
stage or jazz dance.
MODERN
STAGE,
MODERN
JAZZ
&
STREETDANCE: We offer classes in all these
styles either for fun and relaxation or at exam
level. If you require further explanation of the
different styles then please e mail us for more
details.
ADULT TAP: We have a fun and social adult tap
class on a Tues evening at 7.45-8.30pm.
If
you are a complete beginner you can still join
the Tues class as the teacher is very good at
fast tracking you into a class.
From time to
time we run complete beginners courses to
introduce the basics. We hope to run a
beginners course from Sept to to Dec.on a Tues

ADULT BALLET. Had a lot of enquiries for this
so please e mail to show interest. Not worked
out a day yet but more info to follow.
ZUMBA STYLE JAZZ CLASS
We have a class
on a Thursday evening taken by Miss Paula.
This class uses music from Salsa , Mambo, Rock
& Roll, Bollywood, Line dance & Belly dance as
well as popular music. Combines elements and
movements from all these dance styles and
simplified into a short fun sections of aerobic
activity with a wee dance routine at the end.
The sheer fun and exuberance of the teacher
and the music will get you fit without you
knowing it. All ages can do this and you can put
as much or as little effort into it as you can
therefore encompassing all levels.
HIGHER DANCE We are in the process of
being assessed as a venue to offer HIGHER
DANCE as a subject to our older pupils. As this
is a new venture we would welcome any
feedback as to the amount of interest there
might be in this subject.

How to book a trial
Book a trial by e mail or
phone. On your first trial day, you come to the
booked class with £20 cash in a sealed envelope.
You may pay by cheque but there is a surcharge of
£5 to do this. If you wish a receipt please come to
office and ask. You can put your booking form
inside this envelope and on the front of envelop
write childs name phone no and date of first trial
lesson. Please hand this to the teacher and join in.
Please let the office know after the 2nd lesson if
your child will be continuing.
QUALIFICATIONS, STANDARDS & SAFE
ENVOIROMENT:
15% for 3 classes
4 or more classes discount by arrangement.
*Adult classes £5.50 a class. Pay on the day.
*Mummy & Me Ballet
£50 per term
Trial Lessons
Your child will be offered a trial two weeks of
classes to see if they like them.
You book in for
the first two lessons. Your first two lessons are
included in the booking fee which is £20.00 per
child)
Thereafter if your child wants to continue
you would let us know prior to your third lesson
and we would invoice you for the remainder of the
term. Please note that you do not always have to
start at the beginning of a term, If there are still
spaces then you would be slotted in.
Our 4 Teachers are all qualified with the Royal
Academy of Dance, Imperial Society of Teachers of
Dance, British Dance Teachers Association and
UKA. Miss Paula is also Zumba qualified. All
teachers have completed full time professional
dance training. We hold Public Liability Insurance,
PRS music certificates and have full Disclosure
Scotland and First Aid certificates.
You can be
sure that your child will be safe and well looked
after.
The studios have sprung floors, Mirrors
and ballet barres.
Stopping a class:
We will require a ½ terms
notice in writing (5 wks) if your child is stopping or
½ terms fees in lieu. This small etiquette helps us
in planning classes & knowing where to place pupils
from the waiting list or deciding if a class is viable to
run prior to a term starting.
