Each semester HN304 students and their mentors meet with members of the Honors and
Scholarship Committee, which is chaired by the Director of the Honors Academy. The
purpose of the meeting is to allow students to discuss the status of their research projects
with committee members and the general public. The committee members may use the
occasion to supply feedback and direction, suggesting changes and/or additions to the
project. Guests may be invited, and various administrators and faculty may stop by to
learn more about the projects.
Students will present a representation of the project (power point, poster, printed
artifact) as part of a 10-12 minute oral narrative summary that describes the project
and progress made during enrollment in HN304. Students should include a properly
formatted list, according to their discipline or program of study, of all sources used
during research. Progress toward project completion should be evident. Students
should be prepared to present the project without computer visuals, in case of power
failure.
Students will email a Word document that includes the elements below to Dr. Benjamin
