Date: 05-12-12 Time 5 minutes Brainstorming: Teacher will generate class discussion by asking: How fans and lights are being operated? Why do we need electricity? Where does electricity come from? The topic electricity will be introduced through ppt. Then teacher will ask them to differentiate between battery operated and electrically operated appliances Differentiation by task and Ability Learners will be grouped according to ability Hands-on experience: Activities in groups Task 1 High Ability Group Circuit activity in groups-students will light-up the bulbs by completing the circuit Task 2 Average Ability Illustrate the electric circuit Task 3 Low Ability Sort the battery operated and electrically operated appliances ACTIVITY: Differentiation: Pre-IT Lab Preparation: Teacher will make name labels for the students and stick them on the computers While Technology Teacher will take students to the IT lab and students will work in pairs.
