Curbside compost would be available for 5 units and more. -Revisiting parking requirements for along transit lines. This would be driven by the market. Encouraging foot and bike traffic. The availability of car sharing is also encouraged. -Parklet program application is currently open. -Support for homeless shelters to not have a religious affiliation is being presented. -Revamping of 29th Street is in the budget for 2016, $700,000. This project will start at Bryant and Lyndale. A completion is predicted for 2020. 5th Precinct Update Inspector Todd Loining -Crime has seen a considerable reduction in the Uptown area. -Uptown has a strong team and that is what is needed for community support. -There is the assumption that with the warmer weather there will be a spike in burglaries. Dialing 911 is always encouraged, no matter how insignificant you think it may be. -Shoplifting is being detoured with the presence of foot beat officers. -We are encouraged to all work together and join a block club and get involved. -There is the possibility of adding a supplemental bike officer. -Encouraged to improve lighting for both residential and business. -Open House at the 5th Precinct on May 12 UPTOWN ASSOCIATION FINANCE COMMITTEE REPORT - FINANCIAL SUMMARY February 2015 1. VARIANCE EXPLANATIONS – P&L ACTUAL VS BUDGET FOR DECEMBER 2014 & YEAR-TO-DATE No major variance this month. 5. NOTES TO FINANCIAL STATEMENTS YTD15 income of $30k is in line with expectations compared to YTD14 income of $31k. YTD15 expenses of $71k are $14k higher than expenses of $57k at YTD14 causing YTD15 NOI to be $14k lower than the YTD14 NOI. Cash Assets of $72k at YTD15 are $20k less than YTD14. Due to this equity is lower by $17k from YTD14 to YTD15. The line of credit at Central Bank was renewed for a 12 month period.
