LITTER is misplaced solid waste. Litter is unsightly, devalues a community, and invites others to add more litter to the location. By participating in Litter Roundup, volunteers, such as yourself, can make a difference!!!!!
WHAT IS LITTER ROUNDUP? It’s a litter prevention program. It teaches litter prevention in a very real way – by having people clean county and township roads.
BENEFITS OF LITTER ROUNDUP: It provides groups and individuals an opportunity to be of service to
Henry County. It provides groups a way to earn some extra money for their organization. By participating you can earn $4 per bag of litter, up to $100. You can also sign up to do it as a community service project or it can be a great family project.
HOW DO I VOLUNTEER?
*Fill out the form below and mail it to the Henry County Solid Waste Office or call them at 419-256-7343 by
March 31st to register.
*Sign up for one or more miles of county or township roads. This is a “first come, first serve” basis so sign
up early to get the roads you want!!
*Litter kits will be assembled for you. Supervisors will pick them up at the Henry County Solid
Waste/Landfill Office at L-622 Twp. Rd. 11, Malinta or at Commissioners Office on Oakwood.
These kits will include assigned roads, safety rules, signs, waiver forms, gloves, and litter bags.
*Litter will be collected starting April 1st through April 30th.
*There is a $20 recycling bonus for the top two groups that separate their recyclables.
*You will dispose of your trash, turn in your maps and waiver forms to the Henry County Solid
Waste/Landfill office during the hours of 8-3:30 M-F and 8-11 a.m. Saturday.
The Clerk will check you in and explain how to dispose of your recyclables/trash.
