Set Up:
Main Characters: The Main characters are kids dressed up as Adults. They consist of The
Mayor, The Mayor’s Wife, The Judge, The Secretary, The Paper Boy, and the Kid.

Cast:
Arsenia L. as the Mayors Wife
Louie L. as the Mayor
Carlos M. as the Judge
Alexis R. as the Secretary
David L. as the Kid
Ryan M. as the Paper Boy
World of Story: The movie is set up to be reminiscent of a black and white silent film
showing a paper boy with breaking news about the grand opening of a new Boys & Girls
Club. The camera then zooms into the picture and it comes to life showing what took
place the day of the Grand Opening.
Tone of Story: In true silent film fashion, the credits come at the beginning of the
movie, so it starts out with the names of the actors/actresses and the creators and editors
of the movie. The first scene, after the credits shows the paper boy with a news flash and
a large picture of everyone at the Grand Opening standing in front of the Boys & Girls
Club. The camera zooms into the picture and shows the event as it took place. Message
boards are displayed between scenes to show what’s happening in the story. The actors
get the ribbon and stretch it out in front of the club, and the kid proudly cuts the ribbon
honoring the opening of the Boys & Girls Club. Then everyone starts to run and jump
around happily and let the fun begin with the new opening of the club.
Music: There will be three musical scores throughout the film.

Score 1: A classic themed circus song that is whimsical and high spirited,
accented with tubas and trombones.

Score 2: An old time tune including pianos.

Score 3: High pitched piano played fast giving a sense of chaos, used for a
chase and scramble scene.
First Act:

A classic themed circus song that is whimsical and high spirited, accented with
tubas and trombones.
Scene 1: Cyclone Studios
A Huge Cyclone with fluffy white clouds as a backdrop across the center, halfarched, it reads Cyclone Studios.


In the backdrop there are stripes that fade from a deep grey to white and have old
style theatre designs along the top and bottom. On the middle is a plaque reading

Club FOLLIES, Alex Z., Movie Executive.


Scene 2: Enter the Paper Boy
A paper boy is seen running up to the camera and holding a newspaper up that
shows a picture of the Grand Opening of the Boys & Girls Club. The Camera then
zooms into the picture.
Scene 3: Read All About IT!
A black Backdrop with old style theatre designs along the top and bottom of the
page reading: Read All About IT… There is going to be a Grand Opening for a
new Boys & Girls Club.


The picture is shown again and as the camera zooms into the picture the picture
comes to life.

Outside of the new club all the attendees unroll the ribbon and have the Kid cut
the ribbon honoring the Grand Opening.

Scene 4: Gasp!
The Mayor’s wife gasps in awe to the grand opening! And then everyone claps
and congratulates one another.
Act 4:
Title: Club Kid Mayhem: Let the Fun Begin
Setting: Outside the Newly Opened Boys & Girls Club
Music: Score 3

Score 3: High pitched piano played fast giving a sense of chaos, used for a
chase and scramble scene.

Directors Note:
The film speed will be increased and the actors will exaggerate there
movement to mimic that of old silent films.

Everyone begins running around in excitement, the jump and play with the ribbon
