GENERAL REGULATIONS OF PARTICIPATION
1. The contracting company is being referred in the General Regulation of Participation as ''the Organiser''.
2. The Organiser is obliged to deliver the agreed space and equipment to the Exhibitors exclusively for the
presentation of exhibits and/or services as well as for the distribution of promotional material pertaining to their
products and/or services.
3. In order to be accepted as Exhibitors, interested parties must complete, sign and submit to the Organiser the
Space Rental Application form attached herein. Space Rental Applications are addressed to the Organiser, who
may refuse them without having to justify their rejection or compensate for damages. The sums paid in respect to
participation fees shall be reimbursed, however no interest rate will be paid. Booking is accepted in order of
priority of submission of Application Forms and only depending on space availability. Applications are valid only if
the respective Application Forms have been signed, sealed and submitted accordingly. The Organiser retains the
right to decide whether to accept or reject potential Exhibitors.
4. "EDUCATION” is an Exhibition on education and career. The presentation of exhibits and products irrelevant to
the above subject of the Exhibition is not acceptable unless approved by the Organiser. Sublease is forbidden
between the exhibitor and a third party.
5. The Exhibitors along with the Application Form are obliged to state in detail which universities and institutes they
will represent in the Exhibition. In the event of more than one representatives for the same firm, product or
organisation, the Organiser declines any responsibility.
6. The Exhibition floor plan is designed by the Organiser. The distribution of the stands is established on the basis
of the Exhibitor's selection, space demand and registration rate. The Organiser retains sole responsibility for stand
allocation. Any change, surface reduction due to force majeure, even after confirmation of participation, do not
entitle Exhibitors neither to cancel their participation nor to present any compensation claims.
7. With the signature of the Application Form, Exhibitors commit themselves to become familiar with and fully
respect the present General Regulation of Participation as well as any new written provisions which may be
introduced to it, of which the Exhibitor is notified by the Organiser.
8. There are two types of exhibition stands: Indoor Basic Stand (one desk, three chairs) and Indoor Double Stand
(two desks, six chairs). The rent for both types of stands is determined by the Organiser and is stated in the space
Rental Application Form attached to the present general regulation.
9. The Exhibitor is obliged to insure, at his own expense, the exhibits and/or products that he/she will display in the
Exhibition against all hazards and/or loss at all times, while the Organiser will not accept any responsibility for
damages to the Exhibitor's items and/or products in the case of any hazard and/or loss.
10. The Organiser does not bear any responsibility in connection with loss, partial or complete damage, untimely
arrival of exhibits during the transportation of exhibits to and from as well as during their installation at the
Exhibition premises. The Organiser declines whatever responsibility in respect to damage and losses that may be
caused to the exhibited material or the Exhibition equipment due to any reason. They are also not accountable for
any thefts which may be omitted or damages which Exhibitors may cause to third parties as a result of their
participation in the Exhibition. However, the Organiser shall take out on the Exhibitor's behalf and costs, insurance
agreements that will cover the stands and contents against fire and third-party liability.
11. After the daily closing of the Exhibition, nobody, including Exhibitors, is allowed to remain on the Exhibition
premises.
12. General security shall be insured by the Exhibition's "Private Security" who are appointed by the Organiser.
However, any Exhibitor has the right to hire one or more security persons, who will have to comply with the
general security rules established by the Organiser and answer to the head of the Organiser's "Private Security".
The Exhibition's private security persons shall be responsible for security in the sector assigned to them. The
Organiser declines any responsibility in respect to special missions which may be entrusted to them by the
Exhibitors.
13. Highly inflammable substances are not allowed to be exhibited or brought into the Exhibition premises. It is
forbidden to include among the exhibits, any products whose manufacturing, sale or display is prohibited. It is
compulsory the installations comply with general fireproof regulations (public safety regulations). Machines in
operation whose components are directly accessible by hand, should not only comply with public safety
regulations (railing at 1m from the machine) but also must under no circumstances be left unattended by an
Exhibitor's operative.
14. Exhibitors operating over the weekend (7th & 8th) can inspect their stand on Friday 6th March, if they want to,
but are advised to prepare it on Saturday 7th March morning 09.30-10.30 to avoid losses of material, due to group
visits made by schools on Friday.
15. The evacuation of stands, repacking and removal of special decorations and exhibits begins after the closure
of the Exhibition and must be carried out by the Exhibitor until 12:00 on Monday 9th March. Every Exhibitor is
obliged to deliver exhibition areas to the Organiser in their original condition after the fair has closed.
16. The repacking and/or removal of exhibited items and/or products from the Exhibitor's rented stand before the
closure of the Exhibition is prohibited.
17. No Exhibitor is allowed to obstruct the aisles in the Exhibition area and/or affect in any way the displays of
other Exhibitors.
18. The Exhibitor is accountable to the Organiser for all wall, floor and fixture damages of the Exhibition building
and stands incurred by him or his staff from the beginning of the assembly period to the end of the dismantling
period of the Exhibition.
19. In case the Organiser, for unforeseen circumstances, is unable to provide the Exhibition area or if in case of
fire, war, public disaster or other case of force majeure makes it impossible to prepare the Exhibition for
functioning, the Organiser reserves the right to postpone the Exhibition for a period of up to 12 months. In this
event the validity of the Agreement of Participation with all its rules and regulations, remains in power for a further
12 months after the present Exhibition dates.
20. The obligations of the Organiser in the present Exhibition pertain to the delivery of the rented stand to the
Exhibitors and to the operation of the Exhibition only.
21. The completed Application Form with date and signature of the authorised representative of the exhibiting
company is considered the final agreement. Along with the Space Rental Application Form, interested parties
must deposit through cheque or bank transfer to the Organiser, the advance payment as stated in the Application
Form. Settlement of the balance due for the rental of space must be effected not later than 31st January 2015.
22. If the Exhibitor has not occupied his stand twenty-four hours before the opening of "EDUCATION 2015", he
shall be considered as having resigned. In this case the Organiser retains all the rights to collect the stand rental
fee which thus is due in full by the Exhibitor. In addition, the Organiser is entitled to claim damages from the above
Exhibitor. Reclaim of amounts already paid by the resigned Exhibitor and in view of provisions article 23, and for
certain special cases (court liquidation, serious disaster), shall be within the discretion of the Organiser.
23. Cancellation of participation by an Exhibitor may be addressed only in writing to the Organiser with the
following consequences:
- Cancellation until 31st December 2014 : the advance payment will be returned to the Exhibitor.
- Cancellation from 1th January 2015 and until 31st January 2015: the advance payment will not be refunded to the
Exhibitor.
- Cancellation after 31st January 2015 and up to the date of the Exhibition: the advance payment will not be
refunded and the Exhibitor is obliged to pay the balance of the amounts for space rental.
24. As per the organisational programme of the Exhibition, 5th February 2015 has been set as the deadline date
for the final and latest information concerning Exhibitors and exhibits through the Exhibition Catalogue. For any
cancellation after this date, the Organiser along with his rights, as mentioned in Article 23, will also be liable for
compensatory claims due to damaging the credibility of the Organiser and the prestige of the Exhibition.
25. Any controversy between the Organiser and the Exhibitor with regards to the above exhibition shall be settled
by the Courts of Athens, which is the sole competent authority in this case. The Stand Rental Application Form
and the present regulation are governed by the Greek Law.
