Comparison Project.
Objective: students will be able to compare and contrast in Spanish using comparative formulas.
Standard 4.1 Students demonstrate understanding of the nature of language through comparisons
of the language studied and their own
Standard 1.3 Students present information, concepts, and ideas to an audience of listeners or
readers on a variety of topics
Now that you know these comparison formulas, you are to compare two celebrities/two
schools, two classes/two bedrooms…. using them. You will work in groups of three, and
present this project to the class.
You must have a set of visuals for each comparison.
You have to use the following comparisons from your notes: # 1 or 2, 3 or 4, 5 or 6, and
7, 8, (total of 5 comparisons)
Each set of visuals is worth ½ pt.
Each sentence is worth 11/2 pt.
10 pt. test total
Present to the class as a group. Everyone speaks. Refer to visuals as you present. Don’t
just read off the Sent. Everyone speaks. (If you just read off the sent, you will lose ½ pt
per Sent. read) 10 pt. Test. I’ll assign groups.
Have fun.
Today in class you will (in your groups) do a rough draft of your entire project.
Today’s homework is to gather visuals (or do visuals..) which you’ll need to put your
project together tomorrow.
Tomorrow you’ll put your project together in class,(I’ll give you the butcher paper) and
rehearse your presentation. (bring materials to work in class such as scissors, glue…)
