The course aims to deepen Japanese teachers' knowledge and understanding of Asset
Language qualifications. The course will give participants:
- an overall understanding of the background of these qualifications
- specific, practical information about Asset Language qualifications in Japanese

Morning Session – Overview of Asset Languages Scheme
Trainer: Hilly Day
- Overview of the Asset Languages scheme, from Breakthrough to Mastery
- The theory behind Asset Languages, including links to the Key Stage 3
and 4 curriculum, and links to the Common European Framework of
Reference (CEFR).
- Differences between Asset Language qualifications and "traditional"
exams such as GCSEs and A-levels.
- Process for schools wanting their students to take Asset qualifications
