Please print except where signatures are required:
I,_______________________________________(print your name here), have received the BFA packet and agree to and will meet
all of the requirements and deadlines as detailed and presented therein. I understand that failure to meet expectations and
requirements will result in monetary penalties and eventual inability to participate in the process and resulting show of the present
BFA Exhibition upon the third monetary infraction. Additionally, I understand that dismissal from the BFA Exhibition may result in a
one-semester delay in my graduation as I must fulfill the BFA requirement before receiving my diploma.
Signature of this Contract form means that said student agrees to the specifics of the following and all sequential requirements
stated in each form outlined in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Informational Packet and Schedule.

Attendance at all mandatory meetings.

Forms and other paperwork signed by students and advisors and turned in to the BFA mailbox in a timely manner
according to the form date and time and stapled when necessary.

Timely and competent participation in assigned committees.

Presentation, hanging, and removal of your BFA work, must be done by you on the dates and at the times outlined in the
BFA schedule. Although you may have additional help from others at these times, your presence is required when your
work is submitted, hung, and removed at the scheduled times and dates.

Each student’s exhibition work will conform to the allotted approved space and will meet the professional gallery
standards of hanging and presentation as defined by the MCA Coordinator of Exhibitions and Lectures. Additionally, in
signing this form, the student understands that the allotted space for each candidate’s artistic work is approximately four
(4’) feet in width and that a cleat is the only allowable hanging mechanism for wall work.

In regard to sculpture only: The scale of free-standing sculpture requires prior approval from the MCA Coordinator of
Exhibitions and Lectures.

A clearly written proposal with a detailed sketch will be due at the time and date defined in the BFA Semester Schedule.
In the case that this proposal is late, the student has two days after the original deadline to turn it in (usually a Friday).
Should the form be turned in/received after this two-day time frame, the student will be dismissed from the BFA Exhibition
and not allowed to participate again for one semester. Monetary penalty applies to any proposal turned in past the original
due date.

In regard to projection and installation work only: The MCA Coordinator of Exhibitions and Lectures must approve
projection and installation ideas via a clearly written proposal and detailed sketch. After proposal review, probationary
approval will be granted until complete set up is viewed. Complete set up must be viewable by the scheduled time or
your projection/installation proposal will be rejected. See the BFA Semester Schedule for details. The MCA Coordinator of
Exhibitions and Lectures has final say on all installations and projections.

Collaboration work is not acceptable for the BFA Exhibition. Please do not submit it.

The BFA Exhibition is a professionally curated show and thus the MCA Coordinator of Exhibitions and Lectures decides
the placement of any given work.

For each degree candidate, a BFA Exhibition Deposit of $150.00, payable to the Business Office, will be charged and due
as specified in the BFA Semester Schedule to secure the timeliness of paperwork, committee meeting attendance and
participation, and the proper removal of all work at the conclusion of the exhibition; when the criteria for these are met, the
deposit in full will be refunded to the student by mail after the conclusion of the show and removal of all work. When the
criteria, for any of these, are not met the penalties that follow will apply.
Description of monetary penalties tied to the BFA Exhibition Deposit:

Each person will pay a portion to replace items for missing cart materials should any go missing and need
replacement for any reason. This means that everyone in the BFA exhibition will pay the cost for missing cart
items.

Upon the third BFA monetary infraction, the student will be dismissed from the BFA Exhibition and subsequently barred
from participation. BFA participation will be rescheduled for a time subsequent to the show said student is dismissed from.
Such time may be one or two semesters after dismissal depending on the schedule and the number of participants for any
