Needed:
Someone to takeover the collection and shipping of the ink cartridges. Total time
will be less than 3hrs per year. If you don’t have a job, consider taking this one on. Still looking.
Heard from Peggy Mills and she has a new email address. homeinmaine@yahoo.com
I’m sure she would love to hear from you.
Congratulations to the Scholarship Committee: They have awarded $4,500.00. They had 10
applications and Sarah said they were all good candidates. Awarded 4 $1,000.00 and 1 $500.00. Good
going to all of you who have worked to raise money so we can give it away. That’s what is all about.
RYLA: We will be sending Susan Hannes, a FA student, to RYLA. Don’t know what that is?
Sit and have breakfast with Brenda, Larry, Diane, Vic or Mary and get them to tell you all about it.
Please keep Lew Johnson in your thoughts as he recuperates after his recent surgery.
Old Cell Phones: Carolyn Brown from the RC of North Conway and a frequent guest, requests
that if any one has any old cell phones not being used that she will take them, on behalf of a charity
project at the New Hampshire Statehouse. Old cell phones are being collected and being traded for phone
cards that are being sent to soldiers overseas. If you have an unused phone, please bring it to a Rotary
meeting or drop it off at Carolyn’s Tailor Shop. The old phones do not have to have their accessories or
chargers.
Interact Induction: Just came from Stone Mountain Arts Center. What a great night.
Congratulations to Diane, Vic, Sarah, Mary & Bob for a well planned fun evening. It was so nice to see
so many Rotarians there. Larry & Dawn Hall, Linda & Elbridge Russell, Dean & Pat Stearns, Bob &
Ginny Mallon, Dave Sorensen, Pat White, Sarah MacGillivray, Mary Renny, Brenda Thibodeau, Marlee
Turner, and me(MJB). I hope to have pictures next week. I’m sure everyone there has a great time and
will be sure to want to go back. I’m sure Brenda felt like a proud Momma. The Interact Club was her
baby and it is growing up beautifully.
Please let me know if you have something you want to share. An event or opportunity coming up
that you think members of our club might enjoy. It won’t cost you a happy $$. BUT speaking of $$. I
did run into several members this week who were pin less. You know who you are. See you on Tuesday.
