Press release Warsaw, 20 November 2008 Sygnity commences cooperation with Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy Informarmation technology solutions in leasing Sygnity Company, the leading provider of information technology solutions in Poland is offering along with Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy a new way of selling information technology applications, one that is of particular interest to local governments. It will be a combination of software leasing and implementation financing. In the framework of the cooperation, whose proposal has been put forward by EFL, the company will be offering its Customers financing through leasing licenses and implementations of systems of information technologies developed by Sygnity. That is a response to the even growing local governments’ interest in leasing of information technology solutions, which EFL has observed while cooperating with local government units. Moreover, Sygnity’s experience in the public sector results in the need of offering new methods of financing of the purchase and implementation of software in local government units, particularly in reference to the projects which are being supported by the European Union. “At present local governments are searching for immense funds for investments which are to decrease the distance between them and west European local government units. Leasing can be a supportive financial instrument which will significantly accelerate the pace of the civilization leap which is happening thanks to the informationalization in the regions” – said Andrzej Krzemiński, President of EFL. “Leasing is for us an additional, convenient for our Customers, form of selling some of our information technology solutions. Local governments are turning to this form of financing of investment more and more often while buying real estate, equipment or cars. So why shouldn’t they buy through leasing systems of information technology along with their implementation?” – asked Jacek Kujawa, Vice Chairman of the Management Board of Sygnity S.A. Apart from the very offices in territorial government units, numerous companies created by them or dependent public institutions, such as schools, healthcare facilities or institutions handling public transport can turn to leasing. New equipment of value determined by the customer’s preferences and the funds they own can be the subject of a leasing agreement. The most frequently leased goods include: tractors, excavators/loaders, compacting vehicles, multipurpose vehicles, public transport buses and computer equipment. From Sygnity’s point of view, there has come the time to sell through leasing more technologically advanced products, to which software belongs. ”Feniks”, Command Support System – developed by Sygnity and meant for command units of emergency services – has been chosen as the piloting project. This is one of the most comprehensive and innovative solutions, supporting the work of emergency services through the integration of command units with crisis management centres. The system collects information referring to incidents which require intervention, showing it on a digital map; it stores current information referring to available forces and resources, and facilitates making the process of making a decision referring to sending a particular unit to the place of an incident. As the interest of local governments in the new way of financing grows, EFL and Sygnity will also include other information technology solutions in their leasing offer. *** EFL S.A. belongs to one of the largest financial institutions worldwide, namely Credit Agricole Group.
