In 2002, former vice-president Al Gore began voicing his concern about the climate crisis plaguing planet earth. Since then many businesses, organizations, and towns have taken action to preserve the natural environment. The Township of West Windsor is supporting the “going green” movement taking place across the globe. Efforts to recycle and reduce energy consumption are evident from the community level to the student level. Recently, the Township was successful in its attempt to install a diesel exhaust system for the West Windsor Firehouse which will limit the amount of toxins released into the air. The action informed citizens in the town about the importance of stopping pollution.
