Roger William; b. 23 Feb 1940 at Arlee, Lake Co., MT. He
attended schools in Arlee and Lawrence, KS, and served in the
Navy before working as a fruit picker. Roger died at age 39 on 3
May 1979 at St. Patrick’s Hospital, Missoula, MT. He had been
admitted to the hospital on 27 Apr after a bartender from Al’s Bar
in Missoula found him outside the bar, unconscious and with a
severe head injury. After a funeral in the Jocko Catholic Church,
Roger was buried in the Jocko Cemetery. Roger was survived by
3 half brothers: George Vanderburg and Dennis Matt of Arlee,
MT and Leo Hammer of Ronan, MT.
