It follows on from pages 241 – 245 and is designed to consolidate before continuing to timetables. 1.) Ask learners about their own children / grandchildren, which schools they go to in your town/city and what they learn at school. Help with the spelling of subjects. 2.) Learners work on worksheet 1, A and B. Tutor circulates to help and advise. 3.) Quickly remind learners about Present Simple being used for general statements and repeated actions and Present Continuous being used for what is happening NOW. Practise this orally first. E.g. What are you doing this morning? I’m learning English. What do you do on Tuesdays? I go to college. I learn English. 4.) Learners to work on worksheet 2.
