Play pairs – lay out on table, take in
turns to turn over, say subject, take
the cards if you find a pair.

Call out j’aime… pupils perform action
in happy way, je n’aime pas….
Perform action as if they hate doing it.
Read through
the text again.
Children mime
the actions in the
appropriate way.
Teacher reads text of ppt ‘Ma matière
préférée’ (don’t show powerpoint at
this stage) or play sound file.
Children listen and tick once for
j’aime, twice for j’adore, x once for je
n’aime pas, xx for je déteste on
subject pictures.
Show ppt
Children check number of ticks and
crosses.

Show ppt from last week, rereading
text. Arrange jumbled sentences
around the room for groups to sort out
in given time then re-jumble for next
group, moving round the room.
