Geography Land and Water Book Checklist Please complete all items on the list to the best of your ability in order to earn full credit. Choose 10 geographical terms that you are not familiar with Arrange the words in alphabetical order Determine whether you will create your book in a portrait or landscape orientation (Is the long axis horizontal or vertical?) All pages must be oriented the same way throughout your book Clearly and neatly write each word on the page Clearly and neatly write the definition of each word on each page Illustrate each word with an image that helps the reader understand the definition Color the illustrations using colored pencils (Note: water should be depicted as blue, land forms as green or brown as appropriate) Use each term in a sentence that shows you know what the word means EX: Unacceptable: We had a picnic on the bay. (Bay in this sentence could substituted for river, mountain, desert or gulf.) Acceptable: We took our boat out for a refreshing ride on the bay. Choose any 2 of your terms to create a 3-D model. You may use any materials you’d like: cardboard, paper, clay, tinfoil, wax paper, Styrofoam, rocks, sticks…use your imagination. This part will be completed at HOME.
