SUBMITTALS
A.
Submit “Letter of Conformance” in accordance with Section 01330.
B.
Product Data: For each appliance type required indicating compliance with
requirements, include complete operating and maintenance instructions for each
appliance.
C.
Appliance Schedule: Submit schedule of appliances, using the same room
designations on Drawings.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
A.
Installer Qualifications: An experienced installer who is an authorized
representative of the residential appliance manufacturer for both installation and
maintenance of appliances required for this Project.
B.
Source Limitations: Obtain residential appliances through one source from a
single manufacturer.
C.
Electrical Appliances: Listed and labeled as defined in NFPA 70, Article 100, by
a testing agency acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction.

D.
UL and NEMA Compliance: Provide electrical components required as part of
residential appliances that are listed and labeled by UL and that comply with
applicable NEMA standards.
E.
Deliver appliances only after utility rough-in is complete and construction in the
spaces to receive appliances is substantially complete and ready for installation.

Porcelain-Enamel Finish: Provide manufacturer's standard factory-applied
porcelain-enamel finish over cleaned and pretreated steel sheet.

PART 3 - EXECUTION

EXAMINATION
A.

Examine roughing-in for plumbing, mechanical, and electrical services, with
Installer present, to verify actual locations of services before residential appliance
installation.

Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been
corrected.
INSTALLATION
A.
General: Comply with manufacturer's written instructions.
B.
Built-in Equipment: Securely anchor units to supporting cabinets or countertops
with concealed fasteners. Verify that clearances are adequate for proper
functioning and rough openings are completely concealed.
C.
Freestanding Equipment: Place units in final locations after finishes have been
completed in each area. Verify that clearances are adequate to properly operate
equipment.
D.
Utilities: Refer to Division 15 and 16 for plumbing and electrical requirements.
ADJUSTING AND CLEANING

A.
Test each item of residential appliances to verify proper operation. Make
necessary adjustments.
B.
Verify that accessories required have been furnished and installed.
C.
Remove packing material from residential appliances and leave units in clean
condition, ready for operation.
PART 4 - RESIDENTIAL APPLIANCE SCHEDULE

APPLIANCES - GUEST ROOMS AND EMPLOYEE LOUNGE. (Supplier by Owner,
installed by General Contractor)
A.
Cooktop: Whirlpool RC8110XAH, two (2) heating elements, brushed chrome top,
208 volts., 20 amp.
B.
Microwave Oven: Whirlpool MH6130XHQ, with filter kit, 850 watts, white on
white, non-vented, 120 volts, 2450 MHz, 15 amp.
C.
Refrigerator: Whirlpool ET2WTKXLQ, white, factory installed ice maker, TopMount no-frost, 120 volts, 60 MHz, 15 amp.
D.
Dishwasher: Whirlpool DU800CWD, white on white control panel, built-in, two
(2) wash levels, 4 cycle selections, 120 volts, 60 MHz, 15 amp.
E.
Disposer: Whirlpool GC1000XE, 1/3 HP Motor, 8000 rpm grinding action,
manual reset overload protector, 120 volts, 60 MHz. (Not required in ADA
suites). Provide with attached line cord.
F.
Dishwasher: (Compact model for ADA suites) Whirlpool RUD800EB.
G.
Cooktop Hood: (For ADA suites only) Whirlpool RH2630XDQ. Non-vented two
speed, light, white color. Provide separate switch for ADA room at counter
location.
