We've changed ownership and Michele and Joan are still
here!
Michele Firra Ward, physical therapist, has opened In-Motion
Physical Therapy Services and is still located in the Firra
Therapeutics building at 10557 Church Road in the Lake Highlands
neighborhood with the same telephone number, 214-348-3516.
We opened our doors as an orthopedic physical therapy clinic and for the past
25 years we have demonstrated our expertise in treating orthopedic injuries,
spinal problems, women’s health issues, TMJ, lower extremities and upper
extremities including rotator cuff syndrome and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Here at Firra Therapeutics we offer a healing atmosphere and encourage the
patient to feel comfortable and relaxed. Patients will find that they have the
attention of the physical therapist for their hour-long treatment session. To
make treatment as effective as possible, we remain committed to continuing
education to keep our knowledge not only current but also ahead of the curve.
We offer equipment that is not frequently found in private practices such as
the Autotraction, the Synaptic and the cold laser. We thank our referring
physicians for their confidence in our ability to treat their patients and we
thank our patients who have referred their family members and friends. It is
the highest compliment you could give us, and is key to our continued success.
We strive to get our patients back to a healthy lifestyle because healthy living
is our goal, and our business.
Our facility as over 8000 square feet dedicated to patient care, with individual
treatment rooms and an exercise gym with exercise bicycles, treadmill, Total
Gym, stairstepper and cross country ski machines to provide aerobic exercise,
as well as hydrofitness machines and SABA pulley/free weights for
strengthening.
To contact us for an appointment you may call us at 214-348-3516.
Physical Therapy
Rehabilitation of a physical injury or dysfunction provided by a licensed physical therapist that helps a person
improve the use of bones, muscles, joints and nerves. Treatment includes appropriate exercise for specific parts of
the body, modalities such as electrical stimulation and manual therapy techniques such as myofascial release and
cranial sacral techniques. Physical therapy can be beneficial to people of all ages and can be an alternative to
surgery and/or pain medication.
A physical therapist will examine, diagnose and treat conditions that limit the body’s ability to move and function in
daily life. Upon examination, the physical therapist will develop an individual plan of care using a variety of
treatment techniques that will help reduce pain, help you move and restore function.
