Transition Training

The DPH Early Intervention Training Center is pleased to offer an
online training addressing Early Childhood Transitions.
“Connecting the Dots: Early Childhood Transition Training” reflects a
collaboration of EITC and 619 staff at the Department of Early
Education and Care, and the Department of Elementary and Secondary
Education. It has been successfully completed by hundreds of early
intervention and early childhood education professionals.
This training awards 2012 Competency Indicator 5.7 “EI Specialists
will facilitate the development of a comprehensive transition plan,
including the Transition Planning Conference, to promote smooth
transitions for all families exiting Early Intervention.”
Competency Indicator 5.7 is only available through the EITC in
the online format.
This training is recommended for all new staff, but we also strongly
encourage all staff and supervisors to take the training. EI staff can
register at www.eitrainingcenter.org. The training takes between 1
and 1 ½ hours to complete.
