Krannert School of Management Graduate Career Services Recruiting Policies Recruiters cannot ask interview questions that could be construed as unethical, illegal or in violation of personal privacy, such as race, age, marital status, religion, handicap, national or ethnic origin or his/her sexual orientation. On campus Information Sessions are held in the evening Monday – Thursday in Rawls Hall. Scheduled at 6:30 p.m – 8:00 p.m.; typically sessions consist of a 45 minute company presentation followed by a 45 minute informal reception. Refreshments may be included if desired. Recruiting begins after the Master’s Job Fair in the fall. If you set second year schedules in January or later, you should anticipate a smaller number of available candidates. Recruiting for internships begins after the Master’s Job Fair in the fall and continues through spring. The majority of internship interviewing occurs December – February. Submit your closed list (pre-selects) at least 10 days prior to your interview date. If your closed list is late, it may impede the sign-up of students you wish to interview. Plan to arrive at GCS 15 minutes prior to your first interview. Arrange your travel so the schedule can be completed as planned. It is usually not possible to reschedule students the day of the interview. Allow at least two hours after the conclusion of the interview day if you are returning to the Indianapolis airport. A hard copy of your schedule and student resume will be available no later that the morning of your interview. Please inform students of their status (regret, or invite to site) within the time frame you mention in the campus interview. Students appreciate receiving this within two to three weeks after the interview if possible. Please do not schedule site visits during examination periods. Please submit your offer in writing. To ensure that students have the opportunity to make a thoughtful decision, do not request students to accept offers before the designated deadline. Most students prefer to interview through the entire recruiting season before accepting an offer. We encourage you to keep this in mind when asking students to respond to an offer. We strongly discourage your from using exploding offers to bring about an early acceptance. Students do not respond well to this approach and are actually more likely to decline your offer. Job offers must remain open (including base salary, bonuses, etc.) until the deadline to accept the offer. Changing or withdrawing job offers violates professional standards and Krannert’s recruiting policy. Do not pursue a student who has already accepted a job offer from another organization.
