Effects on Internees and Violations of Civil Rights
o Hirabayashi v. United States 1943

Gordon Kiyoshi Hirabayashi was a University of Washington
student when he was convicted of breaking curfew.

He appealed the conviction all the way to the supreme court where
the U.S District court in Seattle overturned the ruling
o Korematsu v. United States 1944

Korematsu was convicted of evading internment camp, but
appealed this ruling

An investigation was done and turned up with false information
submitted by the government
