UCOP Leadership Development Program 2015 About the Program The UCOP Leadership Development Program is designed to accelerate the development of individual leadership abilities and to create a diverse pipeline of future UCOP leaders. Target Population: 15 UCOP emerging leaders Participants will be high-performers with potential for leadership and taking on a larger scope of responsibility. They currently manage people and/or projects. The UCOP Leadership Development Program consists of: Nine days of interactive learning events Presentations by senior leaders A team project sponsored by a UCOP leader Leadership assessments and a focused development plan Individual feedback Objective: Participants will learn UC strategy, goals and issues. They will learn and practice leadership tools that will prepare them to be leaders who are capable of meeting the challenges of UCOP’s changing environment with a focus in the following areas: Leading Collaboration and Teamwork Managing People Strategy and Decision Making Problem Solving Communicating Effectively as an OP Leader Schedule (9 month program from June, 2015 through February, 2016) Announce week of April 20 Applications due: May 15 Program launch: June 30 Expected time commitment will be approximately 8 to 12 hours a month. Project work will require additional time and meetings.
