THE STUDENT SENATE
OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHARLOTTE
Whereas, the Constitution of the Student Body allows the President of the Student Body to have the
assistance of an Executive Cabinet;
Whereas, Steven Serio, President of the Student Body, has nominated Paula Ilonze to serve as the
Secretary for Diversity Affairs;
Whereas, The Secretary for Diversity Affairs shall serve at the request of Student Body President,
serve as a liaison between the between the Multicultural Resource Center, Multicultural Student
Council, diversity-oriented student organizations, and the Executive Branch, secure the diversity
needs of all members of the Student Body, aid the Student Body President in ensuring that the
Executive Branch of the Student Government Association operates in a manner consistent with the
diverse needs of the Student Body, aid all members of the Executive cabinet in the completion of
their duties, and have assistants in the completion of his or her duties;
Therefore, be it resolved by the Student Senate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte:
SECTION I:
The Senate confirms Paula Ilonze as the Secretary of Diversity Affairs for the 2014-2015
academic year, and shall assume the responsibilities thereof upon being administered the
oath of office.

Christine Davis, Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Dean of Students
