CHILD and ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION

advertisement
Why is CAPES important?

There is mounting evidence that
pediatricians have become the front-line
managers of patients physical and mental
health needs.

The NYS Psychiatric Institute, via CAPES,
is uniquely situated to collaborate in this
area given our location, range of expertise,
and ability to provide free services.

Working in tandem, the community-based
providers and CAPES staff can provide
more thorough evaluations and services to
the patients while alleviating some of the
burden placed on the pediatricians.

CAPES provides easy access to voluntary
research opportunities at the NYS
Psychiatric Institute for youth and their
families.
