November is a time of giving thanks for all that we have and what better to give thanks for than our families. We will read books about the many families that there are and hopefully get to look at pictures of our own families. Please bring in photos TODDLER Happy November! Our class had a great time last month learning all about fall and getting to explore nature as it began to change. This month it will be “A jungle out there!” We will learn about all the different animals that live in the jungle! We will also have a lot of fun talking about giving thanks and doing fun activities to go along with it. Kenton Newsletter November 2015 Our toddler room has welcomed many new friends to our room this past month! We have also gained Miss Samantha as the new aide in our room! We are thrilled to be learning alongside our new teacher and friends! Please remember to send your child in sneakers or leave a pair in their cubby for when we play outside or on the climbers! Miss Colleen & Miss Samantha PRESCHOOL Preschool is super excited for the arrival of November! The new month brings us to crisp cool autumn weather and Thanksgiving. The themes this month are Family Ties, Community Helpers, A Home for All, and Tom Turkey. We will learn that a family is a group of people with close ties to one another. All families can be different, but your family loves you! People in our community help us each and every day. We will learn that each job has responsibilities associated with it. We will even get a chance to perform our own classroom jobs, and see how jobs make our classroom community run smoother. Carpenters build houses, they provide us with shelter, and they have different rooms for different tasks. These are just a few things we will learn about houses. But most of all we will start to learn our home address. A turkey is a funny bird, its head goes wobble, wobble. All it knows is just one word, gobble, gobble, gobble. This week we will sing this silly song, dance the turkey trot, learn facts about the turkey, and discuss things we are thankful for. Please send in family photos for our classroom family tree. Also, the cooler autumn weather won't stop us from playing outdoors, please make sure your child has a hat, coat, sneakers, and maybe even gloves for outside time! Thanks! Miss Alysia, Miss Tori, & Miss Sarah
