The format will be a 45 minute seminar followed by 45 minutes of manuscript review. Prior to each session, 1-2 related manuscripts will be handed out to the students. Each student will be required to: 1) critically appraise one manuscript in oral format; and 2) provide a final presentation on a specific autoimmune disorder. All students must actively contribute to the discussions. Evaluations will be based on the marking scheme below. Oral Presentation (November 25, 2014) The final oral presentation consists of a 10-minute talk on a specific autoimmune disorder with an additional 2 minutes allotted for questions. The presentation should focus on the pathophysiology and immunological basis of the disorder. A brief overview of the clinical features is recommended to ensure a more thorough understanding of the clinical correlates of disease.
