Charge: Provide leadership for the Middle States Ten-Year Reaffirmation self-study
process, including the following:
- Determine key issues for self-study;
- Recommend a self-study model that best addresses those issues;
- Develop the self-study design;
- Establish and charge working groups and coordinate various issues to be studied;
- Define, implement and track a timetable for the process;
- Assure internal communication concerning the self-study process;
- Arrange for institution-wide review of and responses to drafts of the self-study;
- Oversee the completion of the report and any other documents;
- Coordinate the visit of the visiting Middle States review team.

Charge: Facilitate the formulation of a university-wide strategic IT plan and provide
direction for departments, Sungard and Apple in the execution of the plan. This includes:
- Strategic planning;
- Oversight of IT policies;
- Evaluate instructional IT services and the extent to which they support student learning
and university support functions. ;
- Ensure effective communication with faculty, staff and students;
- Oversight of IT user satisfaction surveys.

Environmental Work Group
Charge: Lead the development and implementation of the University’s efforts to meet its
commitment to become climate neutral and a superior steward of the environment in its
operations. In carrying out this charge, it will research environmental issues relating to
the university and communicate knowledge and implementation of environmental
solutions on campus and to the region. The committee will:
- Develop a plan to reduce Wilkes’ carbon footprint and improve its environmental
practices, building on science-based, objective and measurable methods;
- Plan for the implementation and follow-through of the Presidents Climate Commitment;
- Define an action plan for current fiscal year.
