War can be declared by one or more people against one or more people. Only one war may be launched by a person each month. You must name the primary civilization you are attacking (even if there is an alliance of defense.) There are three requirements to launch an attack: (1) each attacker must have some form of government (2) the

Declaration of War form must be fully completed, and (3) the folder of the attackers must be organized and up-to-date. If you submit a Declaration and the requirements are not met, you may make corrections once. A second submission will be the final

Declaration and any errors will result in an immediate loss.

War Results are determined by quality and quantity of military resources, quality and feasibility of attack plan, and quality and feasibility of defense plan.

You may select one set of rewards from the Spoils of War : (1) one Sheet of Land, (2) two Development Sheets of your choice from the losing civilization, or (3) three Natural

Resources from the losing civilization geography sheet. An alliance is considered a large civilization, rewards are not multiplied. GOAL :

People Involved *** Be sure to label the map on the back.***

Attacker(s): List all names of people, social studies period, and label the map on the back with each person using letters (A, B, C, etc.)

Defender(s): List all names of people, social studies period, and label the map on the back with each person using numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.)

Military Resources

(place a “*” next to items which are from Development Sheets)

Troops: Type of troop and quantity from each attacker

Weapons: Items you will use to for battle from each attacker

Transportation: Items which help you move from place to place from each attacker

Structures: Solid items which provide protection from each attacker

War Plan: On a separate sheet of paper, respond to all of the prompts to explain your attack plans. Be sure to use your Military Resources.

A. Describe the situation you will face including geography, defenses, people, etc

B. Describe how you will move to the primary civilization

C. Describe what your mission is (i.e. what specifically do you want to capture or do in order to defeat the civilization?)

D. Describe how you will organize your troops and resources

E. Describe the leaders of your troops and how they will communicate during the operation

F. Explain the strategy you will use to accomplish your mission

G. Explain how you will maintain the safety of your troops during the mission

H. Provide any additional information that might be relevant to the war
