sponsor is not liable for an injury to or death of a participant in equine
activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
SECURITY and MEDICS
The Canton Police will patrol the facility regularly during the night. Emergency
Medical Support will be on the Show Grounds during the show and published
schooling hours.
COMBINING SECTIONS & SHOW RULES
Sections may be combined as specified in the MHJA Show Packet. Points
will be awarded in the appropriate section. If there are four entries in both
sections, sections will be divided. To divide with three in a section, permission
must be received from all entries involved.
CLASSICS AND SPECIAL CLASSES – Horse/Rider combination must compete
in a complete qualifying division to be eligible. The second O/F class in the
qualifying division will count as the first round of the open hunter classic.
Jumpers and their riders must compete in a complete jumper division at the show
to be eligible for a jumper classic.
RIDING NOT TO BE JUDGED is not permitted at any MHJA horse show.
If necessary to expedite the horse show, a DOTTED LINE RULE will be put
into effect. It is marked on the posted courses.
POWER AND SPEED Add-Back Classes - Jumper #’s 404, 409, 414, 419, 424.
A percentage of the Entry Fees for these classes will be paid out as prize
money, Must compete in at least one other class in the division to compete in
Power and Speed class. Entry Fee: $35 1st – 35%, 2nd – 25%, 3rd – 15%
SCRATCHING & ADDING CLASSES:
To avoid Scratch and Add fees, You must ENTER BEFORE you ride in a class
and you must SCRATCH BEFORE the class begins.
$15 penalty for each class ridden without entering, scratching or adding!
THIS PENALTY ALSO APPLIES TO BLUE/RED RIBBON SCHOOLING
CLASSES.
